What has happened to Web development now that "G" has no interest in SEO?

  • Is SEO gone?
  • Is SEO no longer necessary?
  • Is that why my page 1 position is gone?
  • What does the average Web site owner do in 2025 and beyond?
  • Where can I get honest answers on how to get back on page 1 SERP?

Are You Asking Yourself Those Questions, and, Perhaps More?

You should know that the search engine you have spent every dime you could afford to attain a page 1 or 2 position, could not care less about how or "if" you are in a good position or a bad position. They changed everything so that if you do want to get in the page 1 results, it's going to cost you $$. Plenty of that. And if you pay someone other than the search engine, that money will be in vain.

The short answer is, you can pay anybody you want a fortune for SEO. But that one search engine is not going to consider your site just because you spent $10,000 on SEO - last month! If you paid the search engine that money, then YES! You can get that position. But if you stop paying the fees, you go back into the woods - like everybody else.

Is SEO Gone Then?

Absolutely NO!

For too many years people have treated that one search engine as if it were the only one. There are many. Each of the "other" search engines still require all the "default" SEO for each page. That's how they know what the page is about and how relevant the page is compared to competitors.

So the short answer here is, just apply the basic SEO and you'll be fine. Your concentration, then, is no longer micromanaging your SEO. Apply your SEO as it "should" be applied to all pages.

Let me state that differently. Apply the SEO that has always been mandated - long before you concentrated on what that one search engine required. Make sure you have all your title tags, meta tags, descriptions and headings.

Where Should You Concentrate Your Efforts?

Now that is a great question. CONTENT!!

You're not out of the game just because you can't get into that one search engine. And even if other search engines start using A.I., that's an even better reason to concentrate on your content. Make your content "sticky". That means, it must be easy to read, but it must also be very "engaging" for users.
